Who writes

All devotional content on this site is written by , the author responsible for the project. There are no guest authors and no anonymous contributions. Any occasional guest contribution will be clearly marked on the page in question.

Doctrinal stance

The reflections are written from an evangelical, non-denominational Christian perspective. In broad terms, that means:

Where a passage admits several legitimate readings within historic Christian tradition, I try to note the fact and to present the reading most representative of evangelical Protestantism, without forcing a single interpretation.

Bible translation

Quotations come from the English Standard Version (ESV), for three practical reasons:

  1. It's a widely used, trusted word-for-word translation in English-speaking evangelical churches.
  2. Its English is readable without being paraphrased, keeping the original sense close to the surface.
  3. It's widely accessible online, so readers can verify any citation.

When a Hebrew or Greek word adds a meaningful nuance, it's noted explicitly.

Editorial process

Each reflection follows, with variations by passage, these stages:

  1. Selecting the passage and keyword. Start with the central theme the reflection aims to illuminate. The main quotation is chosen for clarity and direct relevance to the theme.
  2. Reading the context. Before writing, the full chapter — and when needed, the book — is read, to avoid citing out of context.
  3. Cross-reference check. Parallel passages, basic concordances, and where useful, the sense of original-language terms are consulted.
  4. Writing. Typical length is 900–1,400 words, with a fixed structure (verse, context, meaning, application, related verses, reflection, FAQs) for ease of reading.
  5. Review. Quotations are verified one by one before publishing: reference (book, chapter, verse), literal accuracy against the ESV, and internal coherence of the article.

Content is not published auto-generated without review. Digital tools are used as aids (Bible search, spell-check), not as the final author.

What we don't do

Corrections policy

If you spot an error — a misreferenced citation, an incorrect historical fact, or an interpretation that needs nuance — please write to contacto@bibleinoneyear.org. Errors are reviewed and corrected as soon as possible. When a correction changes the substantive meaning of a paragraph, the page's date is updated and a brief note is left at the end of the article.

Commercial transparency

This site has no advertising, no affiliate programs, no paid placements for books, courses or churches, and no sponsored content. It's a personal project, non-profit. Any change to this point will be disclosed visibly on this same page.

Use of artificial intelligence

I may use writing and editing assistants as an auxiliary tool (quick search, spell-check, comparison between translations), but editorial decisions, theological interpretation and final writing are a human responsibility. Content is not published on autopilot.

Pastoral limits

I'm not a pastor, therapist, or clinical counselor. The reflections are general devotional reading; they don't replace the care of a local church, a pastor, or mental-health professionals. If you're in crisis, please seek qualified help near you.
